How to Lose Weight Fast – Ninja Style

Eat Clean, Train Mean, Get Lean!

There are plenty of diets out there that make the lose weight fast claim.

These diets may offer ways to lose weight quick, but they’re often abandoned and old habits return, along with the lost weight.

This is why many people seeking to lose weight spend a lot of time and energy going from one diet fad to the next.

Often, they end up frustrated, either because they aren’t seeing the results they expect or because they cannot sustain the eating regimen outlined by a particular diet.

If you’re tired of fighting the battle of the bulge and not making progress, don’t fret.

Losing weight is not impossible. In fact, it’s probably much easier than you think.

How to Lose Weight Fast

*Note:  I’ve written a complete, updated guide here.

Today we’ll offer some tips for losing weight safetly.

1. Reduce your carbohydrate intake.

If you want to lose weight quick, reducing the carbohydrates you eat is a great way to do so. Carbohydrates cause the body to release insulin. Insulin informs the body to store fat and suppresses the release of energy from cells.

There are many reported benefits from a diet low in carbohydrates. Not only does a low-carbohydrate diet promote weight loss, it has many other benefits. Some of these benefits include lower cholesterol, blood pressure, and insulin levels.

2. Exercise

If you want to lose slim down, exercise seems like an obvious choice to add to your weight loss strategy.

Many people who want tips on weight loss, believe it or not, don’t want to put in the time for the exercise!

While restricting your diet will surely lead you in the right direction, a regular exercise routine will help contribute to losing weight more swiftly.

How do you lose weight fast with exercise?

High-intensity interval training (HIIT) is one way to effectively lose weight fast naturally.

This type of exercise features repetitions of high intensity periods with low intensity periods in between. It is considered to be more effective than regular cardiovascular exercise because it increases both aerobic and anaerobic endurance while burning away fat.

3. Choose the right diet and lifestyle plan for you.

A diet should be more than just a temporary adjustment made to lose weight. In order to lose the weight and keep the weight off, a change in your lifestyle is a must.

Diets fail because they are often unrealistic in their limitations.

We’ve highlighted many diets on Weight Loss Ninja. What is the best diet to lose weight in record time?

Diets which incorporate intermittent fasting, such as Eat Stop Eat and The Warrior Diet report drastic results in weight loss.

The intermittent fasting techniques focus on a period of time when no food is eaten (usually between 18-24 hours), coupled with normal (but responsible) eating at all other times.

The body goes into a “fight or flight” mode during the fasting periods, and metabolism is increased via the trigger of the parasympathetic nervous system.

Not only does the body become a fat-burning machine, but the senses become highly acute. (Kelly personally fasts every Monday and Friday)

And while the dietary focus of intermittent fasting programs is healthy (high-protein, low carbohydrate), there are no “forbidden” foods. This might aid the reluctant dieter into a more long-term approach, as they won’t have to totally abstain from their favorite foods.

4. Get plenty of rest.

If you aren’t getting a proper night’s sleep, you’re doing your diet a disservice.

Lack of sleep can affect the hormonal levels, increase irritability and stress, and impair judgment.

If you’re moody on a Monday morning at work due to improper rest, you might be prone to grabbing a donut from the office break room to compensate for your body’s imbalance. These are the types of decisions that might derail your lose weight fast plan in a heartbeat.

Ample sleep is also key to the body after strenuous exercise. Your body needs to recover, and sleep provides a significant amount of time for it to do so.

Using data collected from 120,000 nurses who are part of the Nurse’s Health Study, the researchers found that those who logged less than five or more than nine hours of slumber per night scored lower on cognitive tests than those who slept around seven. (They presented their findings at the recent Alzheimer’s Association International Conference.) That means that logging the right amount of sleep may help keep your brain sharp and potentially protect against dementia as you get older.

5. Make healthy choices

This seems like a no-brainer for someone who is on a diet plan to lose weight quickly.

Oftentimes, dieters find excuses to violate their routines, or make poor food choices based on misinformation.

There are plenty of “wolf in sheep’s clothing” foods out there, marketed to dieters. Low-fat, no-fat, sugar-free, low-calorie and of course, the endless amount of unhealthy products which feature the misleading word “diet” in their name.

Choosing natural, organic foods rather than processed foods is a start. Begin to familiarize yourself with labels in your local supermarket and avoid foods with artificial ingredients whenever possible.

The best way to lose weight quick is to change your lifestyle for the better.

The tips above provide a rough guideline to jump starting your weight loss efforts, but it should be noted, weight loss and personal health are most often achieved through a long-term, sustainable commitment.

Good luck!
